A hiking we will go! Hi Ho the dairy oh, a hiking we will go!

Earlier this month, we acquired a new hiking backpack for Eden (man I love tax returns!!). It's been a wonderful addition to our vast amount of baby gear. She loves it and will ride for hours. It's a Kelty, and I have a feeling, it's going to be used for years to come.

The picture of me isn't exactly flattering, but focus on your eyes on the cute little baby in the backpack.

Oh, and for those who are wondering, the snow accumulation we got over the weekend was 18". Al got a work out shoveling!

Spring Snow

Welcome to spring! Yesterday was the first day of spring, and we welcomed it by donning on snow boots, coveralls, and warm mittens. Even Samson only braved the weather to go relieve himself, then came right back in. Kearney reported 19" on the 6:00p news, and it was still coming down. Lincoln got 25" at that time. The weather channel crew was in Lincoln, it was that spectacular! Looks like more snow later this week, but first we have to unbury ourselves! This picture of Al shoveling was the 3rd time he'd shoveled the same spot in 24 hours. We decided shoveling 6" three times would be easier than 18" all at once. The Cheese Stands (almost) alone

Eden is no longer content to lay on her back and stare up at the fan. However, nor is she quite capable of sitting for a long time to play or standing with her toys to be able to DO anything. The easy days are over, I'm afraid, but we're having fun watching her grow! Just this week, she has begun to sit up on her own for quite a spell and is standing with the help of her exersaucer or the back of the church pew, whichever is handy. The protective 'hand' is near by, as you can see.....

6 Months old and still growing!~

Eden turned 6 months old on Feb 20th and is still growing strong!~ We got her pics taken the following Saturday, but those have yet to be scanned in to the computer... so, here are a few others instead.

She has begun to eat apples and this week, peas. Neither are all that great, and she still much prefers the bottle. But, we're trying!
